They are great !!! I can't live without them now! I love the brush and the towel !!
The towel was recommended by a friend who has copious amount of hair and curlier than mine so I knew it was an amazing product for my fine 3a/b/c hair. So far, I have just use the towel/brush combo once so I can't confirm a reduction of frizz or hair breakage, however, I am hopeful because the brush was way better than expected. It does not pull my fine hair, it is very gentle but it detangles my knots properly (My hair have a tendency to knot fast in dreadlock types of knots). I have veeery fine hair that snap easily, and just using this brush once I noticed how different it perform comparing it to my two wet brushes. I think the combo is a solid purchase. Time will tell if my ends get better. Now, about the towel I must say that I did the recommended pre-wash to eliminate the bleeding of color and it was not that bad. A simple wash suffice. (Maybe they change it a little because I saw a previous review that said it bleed the color a lot). For those looking for a gift to curly friends, you can not go wrong with this combo.
I only recently realized I have wavy hair, and was recommended this towel online. I didn't know what to expect since it is so thin, but was pleasantly surprised! Very absorbent, lightweight, and great for plopping. The brush works really well for detangling and distributing product! Would definitely buy again
I'll start upfront by saying that I was pretty skeptical but I wanted something designed for plopping so I figured I'd try this one. And I'm impressed!
Right off the bat, I gave the brush to my husband who has curly hair but abuses it -- he loves the brush (even though it's pink) and I love that he uses it and damages his fine, delicate hair less. The bristles are very, very gentle so I bet it's really good at detangling. I finger detangle and then use a Denman-style brush so I had no use for this but I think it's really good for other people.
I kept the black towel for myself and after SEVERAL hot baths in a 5 gallon bucket with soap of all kind, I was happy to have all the bleeding out so I could use it. *** This is the only con of the black one -- it takes some prep.***
I only had to use it once to know it was amazing. It dries SO fast. SOOO! FAST! My hair, if left to air dry down and uncovered will take about 6 or 8 hours. I like to bathe at night and sleep on very damp hair but if I do that with my hair in a scarf, my hair would be only about 50% dry AT BEST in the morning. I wouldn't even consider doing it in a t-shirt. NO WAY would it dry. I sleep in the perfect haircare towel and my hair is BARELY damp... I'd say 80% dry in the morning. That may not seem like a lot, but it's almost life changing for me. It's perfect for me to gently apply a couple more final products and it's wet enough that not everything is set in stone as far as styling goes.
I got this from someone for a really good price -- they ended up with two as gifts and didn't need this one (I think that's why I ended up with a pink brush and a black towel). I am, as you can guess, pretty frugal and I don't need a second one but I am so tempted to pay full price because I really, really like this towel. The only thing I'm trying to figure out is a better way to put it on my head for sleeping. It does an okay job staying on but throughout the night, it starts slipping off my head and I have to wake up and pull it back down over my ears. I think if it was just a bit bigger all the way around, I could use it more like the large scarf I have but maybe I just need to practice with it. Since this issue could EASILY be user error, I'm not prepared to say that the size is a con.
If you have curly or wavy hair and you're looking for something other than a t-shirt or scarf to plop it in, I highly recommend the perfect haircare towel. I wouldn't mess around with other turban style towels either -- the fabric on this is so light and thin and amazing... you will be pleasantly surprised, I promise! I didn't pay full price for this towel and brush, but I DID use my own money to buy it. I also have never left a review about any of the hair products I use but this one has made such a big, visible difference to my hair and my routine, I felt like I had to let everyone know that it's legit. At $20 for a towel, it's kind of an investment but I really think it's worth saving for. Good luck curlies!
I’m very impressed with the towel and brush! I got it for my daughter but the whole family loved and has been using them!
